Use case
An appliance cleaning and descaling tracker
Appliances fail slowly and quietly: the coffee gets worse, the filter stops filtering, the oven takes longer. None of it is a moment you would remember the date of.
What goes on the list
Descale the coffee machine
Every 3 months · Home
Change the water filter
Every 2 months · Home
Clean the oven
Every 3 months · Home
These come from the app’s starter packs, so the intervals shown are the ones it offers. They are starting points, not advice — change any of them when you add it.
How it works for this
Because every completion is kept, the History tab shows how long a job has actually been going between attempts, rather than how long you meant it to be.
Repeating is optional, and so is a due date. A job with no sensible cadence can still be given a date so it comes due once; leave both off and it sits quietly in its own section with the date on record.
Other things people track
A household maintenance tracker
Track the household jobs that come round every few weeks or months, see what is due, and record the date each time you do one.
When did I last change the smoke alarm battery?
Keep a dated record of when you last tested a smoke alarm and last changed its battery, with a reminder when each is due again.
A car service and maintenance log
A dated log of car jobs — the service, the tyres, the screen wash — with a reminder when each is next due.
A flea and worming treatment tracker
Record the date of each flea and worming treatment and see when the next one is due.
When did I last replace my toothbrush head?
Track when you last replaced a toothbrush head, and get a reminder when the next one is due.
