One address, answered by a person. There is no ticket system to navigate.
Getting in touch
Email support@tinylantern.app. If it is something going wrong, it helps to include the phone and OS version, what you tapped, and what happened instead of what you expected.
Do not send a password. Nobody here can read yours, and nobody will ever ask for it.
Whether you need an account
You only have one if you asked for one. The free plan needs no account and no email address, and everything it holds lives on the phone. An account exists so that a Pro backup has somewhere to go — nothing else in the app is behind it. If you never signed up, the rest of this section is not about you.
If you cannot sign in
Tap Forgot your password? on the sign in screen. The app emails a six digit code, and entering it lets you choose a new password there and then. The code lasts an hour and works once.
The same mail also has a link. On the phone the app is installed on you can tap that instead, and it opens the app on the same screen.
If you already know your password and simply want a different one, there is a Change password button under Account in Settings. It asks for the current one first.
Changing a password by either route signs you out on every other phone, and we email you to say it happened. If that mail arrives and it was not you, reset the password straight away.
Known gaps
A household cannot share a list. Shared lists are not supported in this version, and sharing one account between two people is not a way round it: a password change signs the other person out, and either of them can delete everything. Two accounts with two lists is the only arrangement this version handles.
Nothing comes out as a file. There is no export. A Pro backup is a backup and not an export: it restores onto a phone, and it is not something you can open somewhere else.
Deleting your account
In the app: Settings, then Delete account. It asks for your password, and says how many items and completions will go, because it cannot be undone afterwards — there is no waiting period and no copy kept.
Deleting the account deletes the items and the completion history belonging to it — see Privacy for exactly what that removes. If you cannot get into the app, email support@tinylantern.app from the address you signed up with instead.
Using it with no signal
Adding something, marking it done, editing it and reading back the history all happen on the phone. None of them wait for a connection and none of them fail without one.
What does need internet is signing in, buying Pro, and moving a Pro backup up or down. When a backup cannot be reached, Settings is the one place that says so — the rest of the app carries on, and the changes made in the meantime go up on their own once there is a connection again.
Which phones it runs on
It is built for Android. There is no web or tablet-specific version.
