Delete your account
Deleting your When Did I Last? account removes it and the backup that belongs to it, straight away and for good. You can also delete just the backup and keep the account. This page is how to do either, and exactly what goes.
If you can open the app
Settings, then Delete account. It asks for your password first, and tells you how many items and completions are about to go before anything happens.
There is no waiting period and no copy kept afterwards, so it cannot be reversed afterwards by you or by us.
If you cannot open the app
Email support@tinylantern.app from the address you signed up with, and ask for your account to be deleted. Sending it from that address is what tells us it is your account; we cannot act on a request for an account somebody else can prove nothing about.
We delete it within 30 days, and normally within a few days. You get a reply when it is done.
What is deleted
Your account itself, your email address with it, and every row belonging to it: every item you track, every date you marked one done, and the items you had already deleted, which are archived rather than removed and go too.
That is the whole of what the backup is. Nothing of yours is kept behind under another name, and none of it was ever sold or used for advertising.
What is kept, and for how long
The record that a subscription happened. Google Play and RevenueCat each keep their own record of a purchase, because a payment is a transaction between you and the store rather than something we hold. We cannot delete Google's; ask us and we will have the RevenueCat one deleted.
Ordinary service logs — the kind any hosted service keeps of the requests made to it, including an IP address — are held by our infrastructure providers for a short period and expire on their own. They are not a copy of your list.
What is on your phone stays on your phone. Deleting the account removes the backup, not the app's own database on the device. If you want that gone as well, uninstall the app or clear its data in Android settings.
Deleting only the backup, and keeping the account
Settings, then Delete my cloud copy. That removes the copy we hold and leaves your phone exactly as it is, so you keep the app, your list and your account.
The free plan needs no account at all and uploads nothing, so there is nothing to delete on it — the phone is the only copy there has ever been. What that means in full is on the privacy page.
